Computer Support Analyst | Leidos
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Leidos, located in Chantilly, VA, requiring flexibility for specific night and afternoon shifts in a Network Operations Center. Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) supports the critical Center for Information Systems Security (CISS) program. This role is essential for integrating new COTS/GOTS systems, ensuring mission readiness, and resolving complex technical issues across various domains, offering significant growth opportunities for motivated individuals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Integration: Integrate new COTS/GOTS systems, including network equipment, servers, and workstations, into the production environment to ensure mission readiness.
• Configuration Management: Manage change controls for documentation within a configuration management database (CMDB) and perform corrective actions on any discrepancies.
• Technical Resolution: Develop technical solutions and resolve complex issues related to users, computers, servers, networks, appliances, and applications, documenting them in a knowledge database and ticketing system.
• Monitoring & Auditing: Review data from a DoD Network Monitoring System, proactively audit systems to meet program requirements, assess risks, and remediate incidents.
• Expert Analysis & Remediation: Analyze issues, make remediation recommendations to management, and execute remediation processes as an expert on program-specific equipment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with 2-4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 2 years of relevant experience. A High School diploma with an additional 2 years (total 4+ years) of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in Windows Server administration (WSUS, Group Policy, Active Directory, RDP), Windows 10/11 and Server 2022 troubleshooting, GOTS/COTS application management, industrial and Dell hardware management, and Tier 2 Help Desk support with some Tier 3 involvement.
• Skills: Strong communication, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to thrive in environments that constantly embrace new technology; proactive leadership and teamwork; ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Lifecycle management experience (PC Imaging & Disposition), working knowledge of Network Monitoring tools (OpManager, Solarwinds, PRTG), workstation and server RAID understanding, experience with virtualization, infrastructure equipment troubleshooting (Tripplite/Eaton UPS, Fiber/Ethernet installation/termination, electronic testing/metering equipment), ticket tracking system experience (Remedy, ServiceNOW, SharePoint), prior experience in a Network Operations Center or Tier 2/3 Helpdesk, Cisco/Palo Alto/Juniper Tier 1 troubleshooting, experience with CMD/Terminal/PowerShell, and experience with RHEL.
