What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of the competitive landscape for infrastructure talent development in specific industries and geographic areas, mapping major direct training competitors and employer hiring trends.
• Strategic Positioning: Recommend how Per Scholas should position its training offerings to remain competitive against alternative providers in the skilled trades and infrastructure sectors for both learners and employers.
• Pricing Evaluation: Research and compare pricing models for earned revenue products, including customized training and upskilling courses, analyzing Per Scholas’s value proposition against market alternatives.
• Intelligence Gathering: Utilize a combination of AI-powered secondary research and primary methods, including “secret shopping,” to gather intelligence on competitor enrollment processes, pricing, and curriculum delivery.
• Insight Communication: Synthesize complex data into strategic “so what?” insights using analytical skills and AI prompting, preparing clear written reports and verbal presentations for leadership, and contributing to market strategy discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current undergraduate student with a strong interest in research, market analysis, or business strategy; alternative backgrounds are eligible when required skills have been obtained without a degree.
• Experience: Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis, with the ability to utilize AI prompting to enhance research efficiency and synthesis.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment, and a strong bias toward learning and inquiry with an ability to identify the “so what?” in complex data.
