Role Overview
The Community Intern will primarily focus on growing the communities within Her Campus, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, InfluenceHer Collective, and College Fashionista. This involves recruitment, content creation, strategic planning, and event support.
Key Responsibilities
• Community Recruitment: Recruit community members from Her Campus, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, InfluenceHer Collective, and College Fashionista.
• Research & Strategy: Research influencer and college campus trends, and brainstorm new recruitment strategies.
• Content Creation: Craft copy for newsletters and create recruitment social media content.
• Event Support: Support events and experiential projects, which includes:
• Sourcing talent leads.
• Collaborating on main stage programming.
• Assisting with user experience aspects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this internship will possess the following:
• Current College Undergraduate: Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Strong Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and strategic thinking skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office platforms.
• Work Ethic: Hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient, and creative work ethic.
• Passion & Interest:
• Passionate about Her Campus Media’s mission.
• Interest in community growth, social media content creation, marketing, and project management.
• Preferred: Her Campus Community Member preferred.
Requirements For Application
Applicants must submit the following:
• Resume and Cover Letter: Required for the application.
• Writing Sample: A writing sample that demonstrates personality and engages with pop culture or a current trend (e.g., a blog post or a school assignment article).
• Social Posts: Two social posts that showcase video editing skills and the ability to create engaging and trendy content.
Additional Internship Information
• Location: Remote internships available to current college students located in the United States.
• Schedule: Available year-round on a full-time or part-time basis with flexible hours.
• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
• Credit: Offered for school credit.
• Visa Sponsorship: Her Campus Media does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
