Job Description

This Communications Internship provides hands-on experience in strategic communication planning and execution. As a key member of the Communications & Public Affairs team, you will:

Contribute to reputation management: You’ll participate in developing communication strategies that protect and enhance the reputation of Disney Experiences.
Craft compelling content: You’ll write articles, blog posts, social media content, executive speaking points, key messages, and more for both internal and external audiences.
Support global campaigns: You’ll assist with the execution of various global campaigns, including Recognition Week, Legacy Awards, and Administrative Professionals Week.
Develop engaging visuals: You’ll contribute to the creation of infographics, executive presentations, short-form videos, digital slides, and more.

Strong organizational skills: You are efficient and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Independent and collaborative: You thrive in both independent and team environments and are a self-starter who takes initiative.
Excellent communication skills: You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Collaborative approach: You enjoy working with diverse teams and fostering positive working relationships.
Writing experience: You have a proven ability to write for various communication platforms, including articles, emails, social media, etc.
Grammar proficiency: You are meticulous with grammar and punctuation.
Tech-savvy: You are comfortable with learning new software applications and have proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Deadline driven: You are able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.

Bonus Skills:

• Disney parks knowledge/experience
• Basic knowledge of Salesforce
• Experience with WordPress or similar tools
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Education Requirements:

• Currently pursuing, or have recently completed, a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Internship Details:

• Dates: January 2025 through June 2025
• Location: Glendale, CA, or Lake Buena Vista, Florida (Transportation and housing in California are the responsibility of the intern).
• hybrid position: A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace are required.
• Full-time hours: Approximately 40 hours per week.
• Pay rate: $22.00 per hour.
• Select benefits may be provided.
