Job Description: Commercial Real Estate Intern

This internship focuses on developing a comprehensive understanding of the commercial real estate lending process. The intern will contribute to various aspects of the lending process, including:

Research, Analysis, and Administrative Support: Under the guidance of the team, the intern will participate in data collection, research, analysis, and provide administrative support for department projects and initiatives. This includes building and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for analysis under varying operating scenarios.

Deal Execution: The intern will participate in the day-to-day execution of deals, interacting with senior team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties, and other advisors.

Market Monitoring: The intern will monitor current events related to real estate capital markets and commercial real estate nationwide.

Contribution to Department Objectives: The intern will actively contribute to the achievement of assigned department goals.

Essential Functions: The intern will execute department-specific projects and initiatives through research, analysis, and administrative support. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential. The role demands excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, be a team player, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment is crucial.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Excellent organizational and time management skills are also essential. The candidate must also demonstrate high ethical standards and sound judgment.

Program Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship (The Bancorp does not sponsor visas).
• Be a full-time student (rising junior, junior, senior, or master’s student) or have graduated within the past six months.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree directly related to the department.
• Be available for a full-time internship.
• Not be related to any The Bancorp employee.
