• Mission: Lead monetization strategies for upstream assets and emerging integrated energy opportunities within TotalEnergies’ Malaysian operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Development: Develop and implement commercialization strategies for newly acquired blocks, Discovered Resource Opportunities (DROs), and exploration wells.
• Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate and structure complex commercial agreements, including Gas Sales Agreements, Shared Facilities Agreements, and other upstream arrangements.
• Market Analysis: Provide commercial analysis and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making across traditional E&P and emerging energy transition initiatives.
• Opportunity Support: Support integrated energy opportunities such as LNG infrastructure partnerships, gas-to-power projects, and carbon capture and storage frameworks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with PETRONAS, joint venture partners, and internal stakeholders to maximize commercial value, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations while maintaining HSSE excellence.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Petroleum Engineering, Finance, or a related field, focusing on energy commercialization.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas commercial roles, including at least 8 years in upstream, midstream, LNG, or downstream operations, with a proven track record in DRO development, exploration asset commercialization, and upstream project monetization.
• Skills: Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation, asset monetization strategies, and Malaysia’s energy regulatory framework. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Bonus: An MBA or advanced degree is preferred, along with familiarity with PETRONAS regulatory processes and Malaysian petroleum fiscal regimes.
