Job Title: Commercial Analyst Intern

Department/Team: Flywheel & New Ventures Team within the Commercial division.

Internship Overview:

FanDuel is seeking a Commercial Analyst Intern to join the Flywheel & New Ventures team. This role is crucial for building products that users love and driving business performance, aiming to deliver an unparalleled user experience and exceptional business value. During the summer program, the intern will engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams such as operations, marketing, and product. The intern’s contribution will be vital in enhancing customer experience, solving complex business challenges, and capitalizing on significant market opportunities. Projects are dynamic and can vary in scope and timeline based on business needs, potentially involving new audience reach methods, model/process development, or evaluating new revenue streams. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, highly organized, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Ownership: Own and execute 1-2 projects focused on business transformation, which may include incremental revenue generation, optimization, and/or process improvements.
  • Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to inform strategies for problem-solving and executing innovative initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Gain exposure to and partner with diverse cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, and strategy.
  • User Experience Understanding: Build an understanding of FanDuel’s user experience by observing customer interactions with products and identifying behavioral patterns.
  • Competitor Analysis: Develop an understanding of the competitor landscape by reviewing offerings and monitoring broader market trends in the gaming category.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be planning for degree completion between August 2026 – June 2027.
  • Must have U.S. Work Authorization and will not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be in commutable distance from or willing to relocate to a designated office.
  • Must be willing to work in-office (specific days and frequency determined by the hiring manager and intern programming).
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in a highly numerate field (e.g., Math, Computer Science, Economics, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems).
  • Familiarity working with Excel & SQL (or other similar coding language).
  • Proficient in synthesizing and summarizing information and datasets for written and verbal presentations.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent relationship management.
  • Experience working as both an individual contributor and as a collaborator in team environments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Interest in learning about consumer technology, sports & entertainment, or the gaming industry.
