What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver 1-on-1 personalized tutoring sessions for individual students through scheduled appointments.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests to provide immediate academic support to students.
• Explain fundamental college-level math concepts including quantitative reasoning, set theory, logic, and probability.
• Guide students through complex problem-solving, data interpretation, and mathematical applications in diverse contexts.
• Prepare students to meet general education mathematics requirements and apply math across various academic disciplines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced domain knowledge in college-level algebra, functions, graphs, trigonometric concepts, introductory statistics, finite mathematics, linear programming, and mathematical modeling.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience explaining complex mathematical topics and guiding students through problem-solving and critical thinking over procedural memorization.
• Skills:
• Advanced mastery of college-level algebra, functions, trigonometry, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
• Expertise in explaining quantitative reasoning, set theory, logic, and probability concepts.
• Demonstrated ability in conceptual teaching, problem-solving, and interpreting data sets.
• Familiarity with diverse college math curricula and common student challenges.
• Excellent communication and an engaging, adaptable teaching approach.
