About the Company:
This position is with the Coffee Lab at North Central College, within the Management/Marketing Department. The Coffee Lab appears to be an integral part of campus life, potentially linked with the Enactus team and CEL (Co-curricular Experiential Learning) students, and it hosts an on-campus store. The Coffee Lab offers services like brewed coffee delivery, catering, and an online store, providing practical experience and a community hub.

Job Description:

The Coffee Lab Student Assistant role offers a fun environment, flexible scheduling, and lots of free, fabulous coffee! This position is suitable for current North Central College students in good academic standing, with work hours ranging from 5-20 per week.

General Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Coffee Packaging.
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of brewed coffee on-campus.
• Assisting with on-campus Coffee Hours hosted by the Coffee Lab.
• Providing tours of the Coffee Lab to visitors.
• Overseeing the on-campus Coffee Lab / Enactus store during work hours.
Cleaning and stocking the lab and store.

Additionally, each student assistant will be assigned to one of the following specialized roles:

Online Orders: Responsible for fulfilling all online orders, including daily website checks, packaging orders for regular shipping/pick-up (minimum 2x/week), and arranging logistics. Hours are flexible.
Coffee Catering Service: Assisting with the coordination of on-campus coffee catering services. This involves communicating with customers, collaborating with volunteers (Enactus team members and CEL students), and arranging preparation, delivery, and clean-up. Hours are flexible and determined by the catering schedule.
Assistant Store Manager: Assisting in overseeing the on-site store. This includes working closely with volunteers (Enactus team members and CEL students) to ensure weekly hours are covered, as well as assisting with product inventory, display, and promotion. Hours are flexible.
Sunday Morning Service: Overseeing the fulfillment of an ongoing Sunday morning coffee service order. Responsibilities include preparing coffee for pick-up and cleaning coffee containers upon return. Regular Sunday morning availability is required for this role.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled as a North Central College student in good academic standing.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and friendly with staff, faculty, students, and community members.
• Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
• Possess basic computer skills.

There are no driving requirements for this position, and it does not involve working with minors.
