Job Description:

PCA is offering 4 Electrical Engineering Co-op positions for students to begin in 2026. These positions are structured as 3 rotating terms, contingent on enrollment in the university’s co-op program.

Available Positions:

• 1 Reliability Electrical Engineering Co-op starting Spring 2026
• 2 Reliability Electrical Engineering Co-op starting Fall 2026
• 1 Project Electrical Engineering Co-op starting Spring 2026

Co-op Reliability Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Assist Area Reliability Engineers with daily troubleshooting. Second and Third Term students will be assigned additional job duties to further their development.
• Work on special projects to support Reliability Engineers, developing responsibility and communication skills.
• Focus on predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability. Examples include lubrication techniques, optical alignment and vibration analysis. Exposure to best practice maintenance and assist in root cause failure analysis process to resolve equipment failures.

Co-op Project Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Work with the Project Engineering group.
• Assist Project Engineers on capital projects.
• Work on special projects to support engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication skills.
• Utilize computer software for P&ID drawing and assist in maintaining equipment files.
• Collaborate with lab personnel, operators, and supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University, The University of Mississippi, Auburn University, University of Alabama University of Cincinnati, University of Maine, University of North Carolina State, Texas A&M University, University of Miami Ohio, Tennessee Technology University, or any University of TN majoring in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have completed the freshman year.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Must be a permanent U.S. resident.

• Students who sign up for interviews through the university during Career Fairs and On-Campus Interview days will be given first consideration.
