Job Description: Co-op

This is a Fall 2024 Co-op position with FedEx, offering a full-time, 40-hour-a-week experience. The co-op will be a part of a multi-rotation program, and this will be the first rotation. The position is open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Field of Study Application: Apply your academic knowledge and skills to real-world projects and gain practical experience in a corporate environment.
• Networking & Community Service: Participate in networking events and/or community service activities to build connections and develop professional skills.
• Project Involvement:
• Support and plan small projects under management direction.
• Assist with larger projects, including tasks like project schedule management and status reporting.
• Potentially take on duties normally performed by professionals in the department.
• Collaborate with various departments and vendors to gather project information.
• Present project results to management and department personnel.
• Analytical & Research Skills:
• Conduct analytical work within a specific functional area.
• Utilize the internet and other sources to conduct research.
• Create or update systems or databases to meet departmental needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• One year of education at an accredited college, university, or technical school (must be currently enrolled).
• For legal interns, must be currently enrolled in an accredited law program and have completed the first year.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software is beneficial for some positions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
• Strong time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical skills to review, analyze, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Major in GIS is preferred.
• Experience with creating facility maps and utilizing GPS & street network data to enhance geocoding and routing is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/hour
