Description
This is a Co-op position at FedEx, offering students the chance to gain real-world experience in a corporate setting while applying their academic knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and plan work on small projects: Collaborate with management to contribute to project execution and development.
• Assist in larger projects: Provide support to management and other team members on larger initiatives, managing schedules and reporting progress.
• Gain hands-on experience: Shadow professionals in the department, learning and contributing to daily tasks.
• Gather information: Work with various departments and vendors to collect necessary data for projects.
• Present findings: Communicate project results to management and other team members.
• Conduct analytical work: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to projects within the assigned functional area.
• Research and investigate: Utilize internet and other resources to gather relevant information.
• Develop systems and databases: Create or update systems and databases for specific department needs.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school.
• Minimum of one year of education completed.
• Strong software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Currently pursuings:
• Majoring in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay range: $25.00 – $30.00/hour
• Comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement.
Additional Details:
• This is a full-time, 40-hour per week Co-op position.
• The position will begin in Fall 2024.
• This is the first rotation of a 2-3 rotation program.
• The position will be based in Lehigh Valley.
