About the Job: Clinical Applications Intern at Sectra

As a Clinical Applications Intern, you will work alongside Application Specialists, engineers, and clinical experts to understand how medical software is configured, trained, Ssupported, and optimized in real healthcare environments.

Who You Are:

You are interested in a career where healthcare, technology, and patient care intersect. You may be early in your career, but you’re curious, motivated, and eager to learn how clinical systems are used in practice.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Health Sciences, Diagnostic Imaging, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
  • Interested in how clinical workflows are supported by software and technology.
  • Curious, analytical, and comfortable asking “why” and “how.”
  • A clear communicator who enjoys working with both technical and clinical teams.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Motivated by the idea of improving healthcare through better tools and systems.

What You’ll Do:

As a Clinical Applications Intern, you’ll learn how healthcare software is supported throughout its lifecycle—from configuration and testing to go-live and ongoing use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clinical application projects alongside Application Specialists and engineers.
  • Help investigate and understand system behavior from a clinical user perspective.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of clinical workflows.
  • Learn how clinical software is implemented, trained, and supported in hospital environments.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and workflow discussions related to imaging and clinical use cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical experts, technical staff, and project teams.
  • Develop foundational knowledge that prepares you for a future role as an Application Specialist.
