Job Description:
The Climbing Arborist Trainee position is located in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role.
As a Climbing Arborist Trainee, you will be learning all aspects of tree pruning and removal, working outdoors as part of a tree crew and progressively developing new skills. You will be trained and paid to learn how to climb trees.
Key responsibilities include:
• Learning to climb trees and operating as a member of a tree crew.
• Learning and performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully, including:
• Tree identification and industry pruning guidelines.
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Learning to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assisting in the removal of hazardous trees.
• Properly maintaining, preparing, and operating all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
