Client Finance Associate | SKDK

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SKDK, an award-winning public affairs and political advertising agency, located in New York, NY. This role is crucial for maintaining and tracking the completeness and accuracy of a portfolio of retainer and media-based client accounts, supporting the finance team, and ensuring all administrative financial responsibilities are up to date.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Monitoring: Monitor and review new contracts as they are drafted and signed to request project setups, client invoices, and update revenue trackers.
• Project Financials Oversight: Partner with the Shared Financial Team to oversee project setups, client invoicing, revenue recognition, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) management.
• Client Financial Management: Work closely with the Client Finance Manager and client-facing team leaders to manage, track, monitor, and communicate all financial elements of the client relationship.
• Financial Presentation Support: Assist the Client Finance Manager and CFO in preparing various financial presentations, primarily annual budget and quarterly reforecasts.
• Project Reconciliation: Reconcile and close projects in a timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: Exposure to an enterprise-level ERP system.
• Skills: Advanced Excel capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior organization abilities, detail-oriented approach to organization of large amounts of data, ability to multi-task.
• Bonus: Self-driven with ability to work in a team-oriented environment, strong team collaborator, natural curiosity, flexible attitude in a shifting environment.
