Civil Engineering Intern
About the Role
MRB Group is actively seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for the upcoming Summer, Fall, and/or Spring Terms. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the engineering field and gain practical, hands-on experience with a growing firm. You will contribute to projects that strengthen local governments and improve critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
As an intern, you will have the chance to engage in a variety of activities, which may include:
- Performing AutoCAD drafting tasks for various projects.
- Conducting SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) inspections.
- Participating in construction and client site visits to observe project progress and interact with stakeholders.
- Assisting with the preparation of comprehensive engineering reports.
- Contributing to the development of detailed contract specifications.
- And other related tasks to support civil engineering projects.
Position Requirements
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and work.
- Possess good communication skills, essential for collaborating with teams and clients.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work in the field on project site inspections is a key requirement.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a mandatory skill for this position.

Compensation
The estimated hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hour.
Please note: Actual hourly rates will be determined based on criteria such as your experience, qualifications, and skill level. The noted rate is a good faith estimate for positions in our New York offices at the time of posting. This estimate does not include other forms of compensation or benefits, including but not limited to, insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and market-leading retirement contributions.
