Civil Engineering Graduate

We are seeking a driven and curious Civil Engineering Graduate to join our federal team in a hybrid capacity at our Irvine, CA office. This role requires an expectation of working in our Irvine office 2-3 days per week.

About the Role

As a key member of our collaborative team, you will contribute to providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about traditional site civil layout, grading, and utility design, as well as addressing our country’s water, resiliency, and disaster recovery challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a team environment, coordinating project assignments with other engineers and technicians on important work for various Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with comprehensive design teams and project managers to gain progressive site design experience and total job understanding.
  • Develop site plans, utility plans, and grading plans to meet Federal design standards.
  • Perform watershed analyses and design stormwater management systems.
  • Prepare engineering assessments, calculations, and basis of design reports.
  • Implement designs that are compliant with a variety of regulatory code requirements and client standards.
  • Continually develop your skills by being proactive in advancing your own workflows, systems, tools, and communication techniques.
  • Occasionally travel to project and client sites for observations and meetings may be necessary (frequent travel is not expected).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 1 – 2 years professional working experience with a government agency, municipality, corporate engineering, or consulting firm.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office suite.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate.

Ideally You’ll Also Have

  • Experience working on land development projects.
