Job Description:
This is a Child and Family Therapist Internship designed for current Master’s level students enrolled in MSW, MA, or MS programs. The internship is specifically within the Child and Family Outpatient Services Program in Olympia.
Interns will gain practical experience by:
• Working with a diverse population of children, youth, and families.
• Conducting outpatient mental health appointments with clients, either in person or via telehealth.
• Learning to utilize Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).
• Participating in staffing cases.
• Becoming proficient in navigating electronic health records.
Supervision is a key component of the internship, with interns receiving weekly individual supervision and weekly group supervision from qualified professionals, including LMHCs, LICSWs, and LMFTs.
It is important to note that this is an unpaid internship. However, Behavioral Health Resources will cover the costs for any required credentialing expenditures. BHR offers flexible start dates for students.
