• Mission: This intern manages chemical waste safely and efficiently at customer locations to ensure compliance with regulations and support environmental sustainability.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety policies and practices while working on site.
• Waste Management: Collect, segregate, and properly package chemical waste for efficient disposal and regulatory compliance.
• Documentation & Inspection: Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, and manifests, and inspect drums for proper labeling.
• On-site Project Execution: Perform jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Waste Profiling: Sample and profile new waste streams or any waste requiring analytical testing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Sciences, and currently in their Junior or Senior year. A High School Diploma or equivalent is also required.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required for this internship; however, a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are essential. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical is mandatory.
• Skills: A strong commitment to health and safety, reliability, a team-oriented approach, and the physical ability to perform job requirements.
