• Pay: $41.78–$64.81 hourly
• Team: Part of a perioperative team, working collaboratively under the direct supervision of a CRNA provider during the internship, and later under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist.
• Mission: To provide high-quality anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients during diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, while successfully transitioning from a new graduate to a credentialed CRNA.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with a supervising CRNA to prepare comprehensive preoperative assessments, including patient health histories and physical examinations.
• Develop an individualized Anesthesia Care Plan in conjunction with the supervising CRNA and Anesthesiologist, contributing to appropriate perioperative anesthesia care.
• Contribute to the accurate monitoring and documentation of patient records, ensuring quality assurance standards are met.
• Participate in postoperative evaluations as per departmental policies and support perioperative providers as needed.
• Function in accordance with all institutional policies and guidelines, including required weekday, weekend, and holiday obligations, and participate in ongoing projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of a Master’s degree, with graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program on or before September 1, 2026. This is an early career position designed for new graduates.
• Experience: Successful completion of the National Certification Exam (NCE) within 45 days of graduating from an accredited CRNA program is required to progress from intern to staff CRNA, along with successful credentialing and privileging.
• Skills: Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; current ACLS and BLS certifications; ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including lead vests, aprons, powered air purifying respirators (PAPR), and N-95 masks; demonstrated self-direction, reliability, initiative, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Secured date for the National Certification Exam; five years of adult ICU nursing experience; or a Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program anticipated within the next four months.
