The Tone:
This role at CBRE involves managing all aspects of accounts receivable and payable processes. CBRE is an organization focused on various real estate services, and this Accountant position is crucial for maintaining accurate financial operations and effective cash flow management. The role directly contributes to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function, which is responsible for reviewing and paying invoices, as well as managing cash activities like reconciliation and bank account reviews.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administer the full cycle of accounts receivable by receiving, processing, and accurately posting incoming payments, while also verifying all payment and invoice information prior to distribution.
• Generate and meticulously process commissions, collaborating with internal teams to verify fee structures and confirming monthly that all terms are current and accurate.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing delinquent accounts, exceptions, contingent liabilities, and aging accounts receivables, in addition to efficiently processing employee expense reports.
• Collect and accurately post all relevant financial documentation into the designated accounting and billing systems, ensuring all captured information is precise and verified.
• Actively engage in efforts to recover outstanding debts, including pursuing collection for accounts that have previously been written off.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an early career opportunity, preferably requiring a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Experience: Requires up to three years of relevant experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience applying existing procedures to resolve standard problems and analyzing information to form judgments.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential. The role demands organizational skills combined with a strong inquisitive mindset, alongside intermediate math skills for complex financial calculations such as percentages and fractions.
