The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
• Location: In-person, Falls Church, VA
• Pay: $17.65–$17.90 hourly
• Team: Reports to the catering captain
• Mission: This role ensures the accurate and high-quality execution of all catering events by meticulously preparing, delivering, serving, and cleaning up food and equipment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Preparation & Delivery: Oversee the assembly and efficient delivery of all food, beverages, and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations, potentially including driving a catering delivery truck.
• Event Setup & Service: Precisely arrange tables, decorations, and buffet items according to established standards, ensuring friendly and courteous service while serving food and beverages to guests.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Consistently log and maintain accurate food temperatures throughout events, strictly adhering to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures at all times.
• Event Breakdown & Cleanup: Thoroughly clean event locations during and after functions, efficiently breaking down setups and returning all leftover food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility in a timely manner.
• Facility Maintenance & Customer Feedback: Actively contribute to the stocking, cleaning, and maintenance of the catering facility and equipment, and distribute and collect customer comment cards to gauge satisfaction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Prior professional experience in catering is a mandatory requirement for this role.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive catering event setup, service, and breakdown tasks, including the assembly and delivery of food and supplies. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler’s permit and/or alcohol server’s permit where required by state law. A valid driver’s license may be required depending on specific role duties.
• Skills: Expertise in food temperature logging and maintenance, strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, effective cleaning and equipment maintenance, and providing friendly, courteous service to guests.
