Career Foundation Program (CFP) – Business | Smithfield Foods
The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational program for recent college graduates at Smithfield Foods, located across various company operations requiring relocation. The TL;DR

• Pay: $21.63–$31.25 hourly
• Team: Rotational, guided by senior leaders, assigned manager, mentor, and program manager

What You’ll Actually Do
• Explore: Engage in function-specific rotations to understand various aspects of the Company’s business operations.
• Contribute: Assist departments in problem-solving and achieving both short and long-term objectives.
• Lead: Assume leadership roles for specific projects within assigned departments.
• Deliver: Provide high-level results that meet or exceed departmental expectations.
• Advance: Apply for open internal positions after 12 months in the program with guidance and career counseling.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university, or current enrollment with anticipated graduation by end of current semester; Entry-Level career status.
• Experience: Ability to relocate one to two times during the 18-24 month rotation; travel up to 15-25% of time, including periodic overnight travel.
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; high level of professionalism, discretion, and self-management; ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment; respectful, approachable, and team-oriented approach to building relationships.
• Bonus: Valid state driver license with an acceptable driving record (depending on rotational track).
