Capital Markets Analyst | CoBank

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at CoBank, headquartered outside Denver, Colorado. CoBank is a cooperative bank that provides essential financial services, including loans, leases, and export financing, to agribusinesses and rural infrastructure providers across America, as well as to affiliated Farm Credit associations. This role is crucial for supporting the marketing and analytical needs of the bank’s capital market transactions, directly impacting the ability to serve these vital communities and make a personal impact.

• Mission: To provide essential analytical and administrative support for CoBank’s capital market transactions, facilitating loan syndications and other debt placements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist senior capital markets officers and the team leader in marketing capital markets products, including loan syndications, and contribute to new product development.
• Analyze: Perform analytical work for CoBank’s capital market transactions, focusing on capital structure and pricing determination.
• Draft: Prepare offering memoranda, transaction marketing proposals, and competitive pricing and structure analyses for various capital markets activities.
• Manage: Process amendments, waivers, and handle routine communications with bank groups efficiently.
• Track: Maintain division databases and monitor various internal and external capital markets activities, including loan servicing and divisional metrics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of credit and financial analysis, including cash flow, balance sheet, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), taxation, legal forms of organizations, business law, and financial modeling techniques.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in capital markets, credit, and financing alternatives.
• Skills: Strong time management, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities. Strong interpersonal skills for influencing and building consensus, along with a strong customer service orientation.
• Bonus: Preference for experience in a commercial or investment-banking environment.
