Litigation Legal Secretary | Jobot

The Tone:

This role is crucial for providing comprehensive secretarial support to the litigation team, ensuring smooth case progression and efficient administrative processes within a collaborative and professional environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence, including briefs, pleadings, and subpoenas.
• Calendar Management: Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, meetings, depositions, and court dates.
• Court Filings: E-file documents proficiently with both the California State Court and Federal Court.
• Discovery Assistance: Assist with discovery processes, including organizing and tracking documents, drafting responses, and managing deadlines.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records and case files while providing general administrative support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with a strong understanding of civil litigation processes, legal terminology, and case management.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a legal secretary, preferably in litigation, with proficiency in e-filing for California State Court and Federal Court.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong written and oral communication skills, legal transcription proficiency, and acute attention to detail with problem-solving capabilities.
