Job Overview: C5ISR Electrical/Electronic Engineer
Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer to independently develop, refurbish, and verify C5ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems. This role involves producing custom engineering solutions, generating comprehensive technical documentation, and delivering curriculum-level training to field personnel. The position is contingent upon funding.
Estimated Compensation
Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $84,000.00/Yr. – USD $139,950.00/Yr.
Salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently apply electrical and electronic theory to develop, refurbish, and verify C5ISR systems.
- Produce custom engineering solutions tailored to specific project needs.
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including engineering reports, test plans, and training manuals.
- Deliver curriculum-level training to field personnel, encompassing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on labs.
Mandatory Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, business, or computer-science/IT from an ABET/CAE accredited program. OR
- An associate degree with four years of relevant experience. OR
- Six years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance at the time of application, with Top Secret / SCI eligibility.
- Experience: Three or more productive years performing journeyman-level electrical-engineering duties.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Certifications: PE license or relevant DoD certification is advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Ability to read, create, and troubleshoot schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts.
- Proficiency with bench-level test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- Training and Documentation:
- Experience developing and delivering technical training modules and hands-on labs.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating engineering reports, test plans, and training manuals.
- Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of DoD communication system requirements and relevant MIL-STD specifications.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work autonomously while effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Security Clearance Information
Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is a contractor for the U.S. Government. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Top Secret level with Top Secret / SCI eligibility.
Travel Requirements
- Domestic Travel: Up to 10% of the year (approximately 2 weeks).
- International Travel: Less than 5% of the year, required only for overseas coordination and clearance approval.
