Position Overview
As a Business Strategist Intern at Autodesk, you will be an integral part of the Business Models team, playing a key role in shaping the future of the company’s subscription plans. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in critical research and analysis to devise strategies for forward-looking business challenges and to drive company-wide initiatives from their initial pilot phases to full-scale launch.
Our team spearheaded Autodesk’s pivotal business model transformation, successfully transitioning from a traditional software business to a leading Subscription and SaaS model. In this internship, you will contribute directly to this ongoing evolution by defining essential business requirements, managing change processes, and delivering impactful programs that continue to refine and advance Autodesk’s market position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis, benchmarking, and research to inform the development and implementation of usage-based models.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across various departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Engineering teams, to ensure the successful execution of critical initiatives.
- Develop precise and actionable project plans, and meticulously drive their execution, including the coordination and oversight of customer-facing pilot programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Masters or MBA degree program with an expected graduation date in 2027.
- Familiarity with subscription models is required.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research or benchmarking within the tech software industry.
- Possess a strong detail-oriented approach with the ability to tailor communications effectively based on the specific audience.
- Proven ability to nurture professional relationships at all levels, coupled with a strong customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption models.
- Prior working experience gained through internships, participation in hackathons, or consulting roles.
About The US Intern Program
The 2026 U.S. intern program at Autodesk spans 12 weeks, with two possible durations: May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4. All internships are paid opportunities. As an intern, you will actively contribute to meaningful projects, receive mentorship from industry leaders, and have the chance to participate in tech talks and other engaging activities specifically designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is structured to meet business needs while offering flexibility in support of office, remote, and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency
Salary constitutes one component of Autodesk’s comprehensive and competitive compensation package. Offers are determined based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and have the potential to exceed the stated ranges.
For U.S.-based roles, we anticipate the starting annualized intern base salary to fall within the following ranges:
- Undergraduate students: $47,840 – $95,680
- Masters/MBA students: $72,800 – $118,500
- PhD students: $118,560 – $162,240
