This essential role is responsible for overseeing the daily financial and comprehensive business office operations, ensuring the seamless management of all financial processes. The Business Office Manager plays a critical part in maintaining the facility’s fiscal health, supporting residents through complex financial systems, and upholding rigorous compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Office Operations: Oversee all daily business office operations, including comprehensive management of billing processes, accounts receivable, collections, and financial reporting.
• Revenue Cycle & Payer Management: Strategically manage the entire revenue cycle from admission through final account resolution, ensuring accurate census data, verifying payer information, and securing necessary insurance authorizations.
• Case Management Coordination: Coordinate critical case management activities for skilled residents, which involves conducting insurance reviews, obtaining continued stay authorizations, and managing appeals as needed.
• Resident Financial Support: Provide direct assistance to residents and their families with Medicaid applications, actively monitor pending eligibility cases, and manage all private pay accounts, including patient liability collections and payment arrangements.
• Regulatory Compliance & Auditing: Maintain resident trust accounts in strict compliance with state and federal regulations, ensure adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA requirements, and prepare for audits by maintaining accurate financial and billing documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with a strong understanding of healthcare billing, reimbursement, case management, collections, and Medicaid processes in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Business Office Management experience specifically in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), including accounts receivable, collections, and healthcare reimbursement processes.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or similar electronic medical record and billing systems is preferred, along with experience managing resident trust accounts and Medicaid processes.
