Business Development Specialist (Loan Officer Training Program) | CMG Financial

The company is committed to developing new talent, and this position serves as a comprehensive paid training program specifically designed to cultivate future licensed Loan Officers. The Business Development Specialist will gain foundational experience across sales, operations, and underwriting, making a direct impact by supporting the Consumer Direct Loan Officers and Sales Managers in their efforts to serve customers and acquire new business, ultimately preparing for a pivotal role within the company after approximately 8-12 months.

• Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the Consumer Direct Loan Officers and Sales Managers by engaging with customers and leads through inbound and outbound solicitation, while simultaneously participating in a structured training program to become a licensed Loan Officer.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Needs Assessment: Make outbound calls to existing CMG customers to thoroughly understand their current needs related to home financing.
• Lead Conversion: Generate new business by making outbound calls to various marketing leads, aimed at introducing new customers to CMG’s services.
• Sales Handoff: Efficiently transfer engaged customers and qualified marketing leads to a licensed Loan Officer for detailed follow-up discussions and next steps.
• Marketing Contribution: Participate in a variety of marketing projects and initiatives designed to effectively promote CMG’s diverse products and services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. This program is specifically designed for new graduates or individuals looking to embark on a career in the mortgage industry as a licensed Loan Officer.
• Experience: While specific years of experience are not required, candidates must demonstrate proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role demands a strong ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential, encompassing both clear written correspondence and compelling verbal interactions. A high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical. Strong organizational capabilities and effective time management skills are also required to handle responsibilities efficiently.
