What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn sales fundamentals: Master the principles of B2B sales, including outbound calls, email and LinkedIn outreach, objection handling, and qualification.
• Conduct outbound prospecting: Engage potential clients through various channels, including phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Qualify inbound leads: Assess and prioritize incoming inquiries to determine business potential for partner companies.
• Schedule discovery meetings: Arrange initial conversations for Account Executives with qualified prospects.
• Receive ongoing coaching: Obtain daily guidance and feedback from SV Academy mentors and partner company sales leadership during the residency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level; candidates will receive free sales training from SV Academy.
• Experience: No prior sales experience is required; candidates should have experience in a customer-facing role such as retail, hospitality, customer support, fundraising, or account management, or experience in a goal-driven role with measurable targets (quotas, KPIs, bookings, revenue, or activity metrics).
• Skills: Strong written and spoken communication, comfort with cold calls, coachability, and resilience in the face of rejection.
• Bonus: Completed Bachelor’s degree; excitement for ambitious goals and motivation by a high-performance environment.
