Business Development Intern Fall 2026 | Rocket Lab
The Tone:
This is an internship at Rocket Lab, located in Albuquerque, NM. Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company dedicated to opening access to space through responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, and satellite components. As a Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Business Development Team by enhancing costing mechanisms and improving data management across multiple platforms, directly contributing to the efficiency of initial customer interactions and overall business operations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Improve Costing: Support the Business Development Team in leveraging emerging technologies to improve costing mechanisms.
• Optimize Data Management: Seek and implement efficiencies in managing data across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate & Learn: Work closely with mentors and colleagues to apply existing knowledge and develop new technical and professional skills.
• Lead Projects: Take the initiative to lead development projects independently.
• Engage Professionally: Attend tech talks and network with fellow interns and employees through various social and professional events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in a computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or business discipline. Must have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• Experience: 3+ months of applied experience, which can include internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Skills: Foundational knowledge in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or business principles. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.5 or above. Proficiency in MS Excel, Python, and Java. Experience with AI tools.
