Job Description: Business Development Intern (Sales)

Cloudera is seeking a Business Development Intern for its Austin office. This six-month internship, part of the Sales team, offers significant autonomy. Interns will engage with major enterprise clients, prospects, and partners, building sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships. The role provides intellectually stimulating, fast-paced experience with opportunities for financial rewards. The internship includes comprehensive training covering all aspects of an inside sales representative role.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and guide customer conversations, providing qualifying information to the sales team.
• Conduct business development activities such as account enrichment, cadence creation/customization, in-depth account research, and lead management.
• Collaborate with an assigned Inside Sales Representative (ISR) on specific accounts.
• Coordinate with the marketing team on demand generation initiatives.
• Work towards and compete against goals within a high-performance team.

Qualifications:

• Sales experience: Retail, direct sales, customer service, etc.
• Willingness to learn and a drive to achieve customer success
• Passion for leveraging technology for positive organizational and societal impact
• Passionate and inspirational work ethic
• BA/BS degree (Junior, Senior, or Graduate student)
• Strong communication skills, including goal setting
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
• Technical aptitude
• Ability to work in the Austin office
