Job Description:
Leidos is seeking Business Development Interns with an interest in Finance or Business Development. This internship program aims to prepare high-potential interns for future roles within Leidos BD. The program exposes interns to various challenging work environments and pairs them with BD leaders for mentorship throughout the internship.
Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development team at Leidos focuses on driving growth at the corporate level. The internship provides opportunities to work within different functional areas of Business Development, including:
• Capture Strategy and Support
• Business Operations
• Market Planning & Support
• Pricing Strategies
• Position-To-Win and Competitive Intelligence
• Proposal Operations
• Capture Excellence
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a college student with at least 2 years completed towards their degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated record of high academic performance.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and skills.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a competitive edge.
• Flexibility.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in the US Government’s procurement process.
• Major in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of a Government Contractor’s proposal process and development.
