Intern – Operations | Corporate Chefs

The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite Intern – Operations role based in Bar Harbor, ME, at Corporate Chefs. Corporate Chefs is a leading on-site restaurant company dedicated to providing exceptional foodservice management services and dining solutions across 17 states and the District of Columbia. With over three decades of experience, the company is recognized for its commitment to preparing meals from scratch, sourcing local ingredients, and prioritizing the health and well-being of its clients. This position offers a motivated individual the opportunity to join the Corporate Chefs team and undertake a critical data management project. The intern will focus on gathering and organizing information related to city, county, and state governments’ procurement departments, directly contributing to the organization’s business development efforts and strategic growth initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Acquisition: Systematically gather comprehensive information pertinent to city, county, and state governments’ procurement departments by submitting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
• Contract Data Management: Efficiently compile and transform various contracts into a structured, accessible data format, aligning with the current strategic objectives of the business development team.
• Strategic Development Collaboration: Work directly alongside regional business development directors to thoroughly review the compiled information, contributing to the formulation and refinement of new business acquisition strategies.
• Sales Process Immersion: Actively participate in scheduled corporate calls to gain a deep understanding of each stage within the sales cycle, enhancing knowledge of business development processes, effective pipeline management techniques, and proforma development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student or graduate with a major in Business or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience required.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Bonus: Previous experience in a similar type of role.
