About Rocket Lab:

Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, building and launching rockets and satellites for a variety of missions. Job Description: Business Development Intern

This internship is based at Rocket Lab’s Littleton, Colorado site. The intern will assist the Business Development team in several key areas:

Updating Business Cases: The intern will contribute to updating business cases for separation systems and mechanical products.
Competitive Analysis: The intern will conduct competitive assessments and analyses within the industry.

The Business Development team connects customers (government and commercial) with Rocket Lab’s launch and space system solutions. They work closely with clients to understand their needs and create customized solutions.

Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will:

• Work closely with a mentor and team members, applying existing knowledge and developing new technical and professional skills.
• Contribute engineering and industry knowledge to solve real-world challenges within a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in regular one-on-one meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates and guidance.
• Network with other interns and employees through social and professional events, including tech talks.

Qualifications:

Required:
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering, physics, or mathematics, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab work, personal/team projects).
• Ability to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks starting August or September 2025.

Preferred:
• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
• Experience with industry research and analysis.
