Position Overview

The Business Development & Growth Intern will be instrumental in supporting Luna Creative’s expansion by conducting thorough research on potential clients, identifying viable marketing opportunities, and initiating outreach to businesses that stand to benefit significantly from our specialized services. Working closely with the founder, this role provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in business development, lead generation, digital marketing strategy, and the day-to-day operations of a marketing agency. This internship is perfectly suited for individuals with a keen interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, and the critical early stages of client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Research & Prospect Identification:
    • Proactively identify businesses that align with Luna Creative’s service offerings.
    • Conduct in-depth research on companies across diverse industries, including healthcare, home services, legal services, and hospitality.
    • Pinpoint key decision-makers within target organizations, such as founders, owners, or marketing managers.
    • Collect essential contact information and relevant business insights to facilitate effective outreach.
  • Lead Database Management:
    • Maintain a meticulously organized lead database utilizing spreadsheets or CRM tools.
    • Accurately track company details, contact information, and the current status of outreach efforts.
    • Ensure the consistently high accuracy and quality of all collected data.
  • Market Research:
    • Monitor and analyze digital marketing activity among local businesses to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Identify businesses exhibiting a weak online presence or significant marketing gaps that our services could address.
    • Research competitor activities and emerging market trends within our target industries to inform strategy.
  • Outreach Support:
    • Assist in executing professional outreach campaigns via platforms such as LinkedIn, email, and other social media channels.
    • Effectively introduce Luna Creative’s services to potential clients, highlighting our value proposition.
    • Support the critical early stages of relationship building with prospective clients.
  • Meeting Coordination:
    • Assist in scheduling initial discovery calls with qualified prospects.
    • Coordinate all necessary communication and follow-ups to maintain engagement.
    • Help maintain an organized and efficient prospect pipeline.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in learning about business development within the dynamic environment of a marketing agency.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable and proficient in working with spreadsheets and various digital tools.
  • Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented.

Previous experience in marketing, sales, or research is considered a plus, though it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
