Sales Development Representative (intern) | HotTakes

The Tone:
This is an internship / early career role at HotTakes, located remotely. HotTakes is a free-to-play sports platform that is redefining how people engage with sports betting by making it interactive, social, and completely risk-free through gamified predictions. This role is crucial for connecting brands with the next generation of sports fans by expanding the platform’s user base and visibility within various communities. You will be instrumental in the company’s growth and user acquisition efforts within a fast-growing startup environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship / Early Career
• Type: Part-time (10-40 hours per week, flexible, summer-based)
• Location: Remote
• Pay: $30+ hourly equivalent
• Mission: Drive user growth and increase brand visibility for HotTakes within target markets and communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• User Growth: Drive user growth through outreach, referrals, and community engagement initiatives.
• Brand Visibility: Identify opportunities to increase HotTakes brand visibility within your assigned market.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with student groups, various communities, and local partners.
• Strategic Feedback: Share feedback and insights gathered from the field to support ongoing growth and strategy development.
• Event Planning: Plan and host social activations such as watch parties, bar events, sports league and fraternity fundraisers, and online events.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current university or college student with an interest in sales, partnerships, or entrepreneurship.
• Experience: Comfortable working independently in a flexible environment, demonstrating a self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for outreach and relationship building.
• Bonus: Passion for sports and sports culture.
