Job Description: Business Analyst
This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Sr. Director of Products on the Product Management team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-motivated, dedicated, focused, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical and logical skills. The role requires solving real-world business challenges, analyzing and gathering requirements, recommending process improvements, and contributing to the delivery of successful products and solutions.
The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Product Management and R&D teams. Close collaboration with Product Managers is required to define features for upcoming software releases. The role may involve working across multiple Computrition products.
Core Responsibilities:
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand customer journeys and enhance business objectives.
• Gathering, organizing, leading discussions, and documenting business and technical requirements to create detailed user stories for the development team.
• Participating in team brainstorming and problem-solving/design sessions.
• Taking ownership of assigned projects, understanding user experience and business impact, and serving as a subject matter expert for product growth and success.
• Entering and updating stories in Azure DevOps.
• Attending Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, and Sprint Retrospective meetings.
• Organizing and conducting story refinement sessions with development teams.
• Reviewing and providing commentary on internal and external user documentation.
• Supporting projects requiring research and analysis, including follow-up discussions.
• Assisting the Product Management team with escalation and triage processes.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of Computrition’s software products and a willingness to expand that knowledge.
Specific Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Hospitality Suite software (strongly recommended)
• Ability to manage multiple project lifecycle duties.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders (Sr. Leaders, Product Managers, Application Users, Software Developers).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical skills, including interpreting business needs and translating them into requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products to create detailed documentation for both business and technical audiences.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and work ethic.
• Excellent organizational skills.
