About the Job: Business Analysis Consulting Intern
As an Avanade Business Analysis Consulting Intern, you will be an integral part of client-facing delivery teams, focusing on the analysis, design, and implementation of business and technology solutions. This internship is specifically crafted for students nearing graduation who are keen to apply their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and fundamental business knowledge to address real-world client challenges.
You will gain invaluable hands-on experience by working on enterprise projects. This involves close collaboration with seasoned business analysts, consultants, and technical teams within a dynamic consulting environment. What You’ll Do (With guidance and mentorship):
- Support analysis and documentation: Assist in the analysis and documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs: Help translate complex business needs into clear problem statements, process flows, and viable solution approaches.
- Participate in client engagement: Actively participate in client workshops, interviews, and crucial requirement-gathering sessions.
- Document processes and identify gaps: Assist in documenting existing business processes and identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of all requirements.
- Support system documentation: Aid in the preparation of various system documentation, including detailed requirements, configurations, and process descriptions.
- Assist with UAT activities: Provide support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, which includes test preparation, issue tracking, and validation.
- Educate and support users: Help educate and support key users and end users throughout the solution implementation phase.
- Act as a liaison: Under the guidance of senior analysts, act as a liaison between business users and delivery teams.
- Learn consulting best practices: Learn and apply established consulting best practices, including effective stakeholder management and structured analysis techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
- Academic Standing: Students in their final year (or near completion) of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Relevant Coursework/Projects: Coursework or academic projects involving:
- Business analysis
- Process modeling or optimization
- Systems analysis or enterprise applications
- Familiarity (academic or project-based) with:
- Requirements documentation
- Business process mapping (e.g., flowcharts, swim lanes)
- Basic understanding of enterprise systems or software solutions
- Interest: A genuine interest in technology-enabled business transformation.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities efficiently, and readily incorporate feedback.
- Career Interest: An interest in pursuing a future full-time career in business analysis or technology consulting.
Prior professional experience is not required. Comprehensive role-specific and consulting skills training will be provided as an integral part of the internship program.

Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
