It produces original entertainment and news programming for Disney+, Hulu, Star, and various broadcast and cable networks. Job Description:
This internship is within the Twentieth Television Business Affairs Department. The department handles negotiations and drafting of agreements for above-the-line talent (producers, writers, directors, actors, and casting directors) and underlying rights for scripted, live-action television programs produced by Twentieth Television for broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The department also supports various series and other studio departments (development, production, finance, legal) and participates in ancillary activities.
Intern Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and maintain the department’s internal database.
• Create and update charts tracking the status of agreements.
• Collaborate with talent representatives, responding to their input on deal memos and short-form agreements.
• Participate in a variety of projects designed to develop skills in entertainment law, negotiation, and the television business.
Qualifications:
• Required: Strong curiosity about entertainment law, the television business, and/or negotiation theory/strategy; proficiency with Microsoft Office and OneNote; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines; teamwork skills. Must be pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) or LLM degree at an accredited law school, or a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or related degree; completion of at least one year of law school in a current JD program before the internship start date.
• Preferred: Previous internship or work experience in the entertainment industry or a law firm.
Eligibility:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continuous employment in a Disney internship or program.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization.
Program Details:
• Internship dates: January 2025 – June 2025
• Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 am – 6 pm PST
• Location: Burbank, CA (interns must secure their own housing)
• Pay rate: $41.40 per hour in California. Select benefits may be offered.
