CAS – Client Accounting – Family Office | Staff Financial Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time Bookkeeper position located in Atlanta, Georgia, within a growing boutique wealth management and advisory firm. The firm is actively investing in its long-term infrastructure and is seeking to significantly build out its internal accounting capabilities. This role presents an opportunity to become a key internal resource, taking full ownership of the firm’s day-to-day financial operations and recordkeeping. • Mission: To take ownership of the firm’s day-to-day bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping, ensuring the maintenance of accurate, organized, and timely financial information.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Bookkeeping Management: Fully manage the day-to-day bookkeeping activities and ensure the consistent maintenance of accurate and comprehensive financial records.
• Account Reconciliation: Diligently perform all necessary bank, credit card, and other financial account reconciliations to guarantee data integrity and precision.
• Transaction Processing: Accurately record and categorize all financial transactions, including the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable as applicable to the firm’s needs.
• Financial Reporting & Close: Actively assist with crucial monthly and year-end financial close activities and meticulously prepare routine internal financial reports for review by firm management.
• Process Optimization & Coordination: Proactively support the continued development and improvement of internal accounting processes and controls, while coordinating effectively with outside accounting and tax professionals as needed.
• Issue Resolution & Confidentiality: Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve any bookkeeping issues, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all company and financial information at all times.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess previous, relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience, coupled with a strong foundational understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals and account reconciliation principles.
• Experience: Demonstrate practical, hands-on experience utilizing commonly used accounting software, which is essential for efficient financial record management.
• Skills: Exhibit strong attention to detail, an unwavering commitment to accuracy, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently while taking full ownership of responsibilities. Additionally, uphold a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
• Bonus: Prior experience gained within financial services, wealth management, professional services, or a similar corporate environment is considered a significant advantage.
