About The Role

As a Bookkeeper at Larson Financial Group LLC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the firm. Your responsibilities will span across various essential financial functions, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations, thereby contributing directly to the firm’s overall financial health and strategic decision-making process.

Qualifications

  • Education: An associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role is required.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  • Accounting Knowledge: A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core bookkeeping practices is necessary.
  • Financial Processes: Experience with financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing processes, and bank reconciliations is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication & Confidentiality: Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical.
  • Preferred: Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations is preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation to ensure data integrity.
  • Record daily transactions and perform comprehensive monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to verify accuracy.
  • Reconcile bank statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly to ensure consistency across records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing clients, processing payments, and collecting outstanding balances.
  • Monitor cash flow, support cash management activities, and assist in forecasting financial needs.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review and compliance purposes.
  • Support payroll processing, tax filings, and respond to audit requests, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, maintain organized records, and support internal controls.
