What You’ll Actually Do
• Claim Preparation: Work collaboratively to prepare and bill claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers using multiple software systems.
• Report Maintenance: Maintain accounts receivable aging and associated reports.
• Payment Posting: Post payments accurately to patient accounts.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile patient accounts for accuracy.
• Client Assistance: Assist clients with billing and related regulatory matters, ensuring timely and responsive communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level intern pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected, maintaining a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Close attention to detail, problem-solving attitude, effective time management, strong oral and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and Adobe.
• Bonus: A background in healthcare accounting, medical billing, or accounts receivable is helpful. Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
