This is a winter internship at Schneider Downs, a firm that has provided accounting, tax, consulting, business advisory, and wealth management services for over 65 years. As a member of the engagement team, this role is crucial for assisting with the completion of tax engagements, primarily through the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns. Interns expand their knowledge, develop valuable skills, and contribute to helping organizations thrive within a caring and supportive culture.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist various assigned projects that help complete tax compliance and tax consulting matters.
• Research: Analyze accounting and tax-related issues.
• Utilize: Apply data extraction, data analytics, and data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.
• Interact: Engage proactively with the engagement team to gather information, resolve problems, and recommend business and process improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028, with availability to begin full-time work between January 2028-October 2028.
• Skills: Plans to pursue minimum requirements for CPA eligibility.
• Bonus: Preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum), or a strong combination of educational success and applicable work and/or volunteer experience.
