What You’ll Actually Do
• Communicate: Professionally and empathetically engage with clients, ensuring clear and comprehensive understanding of their cases, conducting discussions in both English and Spanish.
• Organize: Systematically gather, meticulously arrange, and concisely summarize client information and all necessary supporting evidence critical for various legal proceedings.
• Manage: Diligently maintain and scrupulously organize client files and extensive case documentation, ensuring all materials are accurate, accessible, and up-to-date.
• Draft: Accurately prepare and carefully write a wide range of critical legal documents, including immigration forms, detailed affidavits, and formal motions.
• Research: Conduct foundational legal research on specific topics and precedents relevant to ongoing immigration matters, providing essential support and insights to attorneys.
• Collaborate: Work closely and effectively with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure seamless case progression, efficient workflow, and superior client service.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A professional with a strong commitment to providing essential legal support within a collegial and mission-driven immigration law environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who embraces contributing to a legal practice that directly impacts the lives of our clients, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically as a removal defense immigration paralegal is a mandatory requirement for this role, demonstrating a proven track record in the field.
• Skills: Complete fluency in both English and Spanish, encompassing excellent oral and written communication abilities; strong organizational capabilities; effective time-management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; and the capacity to quickly learn and efficiently utilize specialized case management software. A high level of professionalism, consistent reliability, and acute attention to detail are also considered essential attributes.
