About the Role

Roush Equipment Inc is seeking an Automotive Service Porter for a full-time, entry-level position in Westerville, OH. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of the service drive and service shop operations. The Service Porter provides essential support to the service advisors and management team while ensuring the dealership remains organized and clean.

Key aspects of the position include warmly greeting customers upon arrival, valeting customer vehicles to designated parking areas, performing minor mechanical repair diagnostics, and organizing the inventory of company-owned rental vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working for a HIGH PERFORMANCE, nationally-recognized Honda dealership.

Core Responsibilities

• Greeting customers with a “warm” welcome when they arrive in the service drive.
• Providing each vehicle with protective floor and seat coverings.
• Communicating effectively with Roush teammates and valeting customer vehicles to designated parking areas.
• Completing minor mechanical repair diagnostics, including tire pressure checks, battery tests, checking/filling fluids (when needed), replacing windshield wiper inserts, and replacing light bulbs.
• Performing routine cleaning tasks within the service drive and service shop.
• Completing car washes on both customer and company-owned vehicles.
• Handling pick-up and drop-off of customer vehicles, as needed.
• Completing parts inventory purchases at local dealerships.
• Transferring inventory between locations.
• Participating in deep clean projects alongside the maintenance team.

Requirements

• Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 2 PM – 10 PM, and alternating Friday & Saturday from 8 AM – 6 PM.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including driving, standing for extended periods, frequently walking, and working in various inclement weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 4 points and no history of reckless driving. (Preferably 18 years of age).
• Consent to a background check and drug screening.
