Your Role as an Audit Summer Intern:
As an Audit Summer Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our audit teams, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with fundamental accounting and auditing practices. This position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and industries, provides opportunities to collaborate with seasoned professionals, and includes structured mentorship designed to accelerate your professional development.

Key Responsibilities Include (But Not Limited To):

  • Actively participate in various aspects of an audit engagement, including working with cash, preparing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable, identifying unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing detailed audit work papers.
  • Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and a range of accounting services.
  • Contribute to the resolution of audit issues by gathering necessary evidence and conducting inquiries with clients.
  • Support the team with daily client workflow and administrative tasks related to engagements.

Your Experience and Qualifications:

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • On track to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 and September 2027 to meet CPA eligibility requirements.
  • A minimum 3.2 GPA in both your major and overall academic record.
  • Successful completion of Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through student groups, extracurricular activities, or team projects.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and exhibit sharp critical thinking abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and adaptable to embracing change.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with an eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Work Arrangement:
This position is considered hybrid, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. While the specific cadence for in-office presence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office or together in person, on average, 3 days a week. Most CohnReznick professionals reside within commuting distance of an office, facilitating thoughtful and intentional opportunities for in-person collaboration.
