What You’ll Actually Do
• Auditing: Perform substantive auditing procedures in assigned areas.
• Understanding: Obtain an understanding of the specific work to be performed and the overall purpose of that work.
• Documentation: Prepare working papers that thoroughly document the tests performed and procedures followed to support conclusions reached.
• Compliance: Remain alert to the proper and consistent application of accounting principles while performing audit procedures.
• Reporting: Identify and document any control deficiencies or other matters that require the attention of management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with two or more years of university education completed by the time the internship starts.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, willingness to cooperate with others, and a high degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
