The TL;DR

• Mission: This person will perform substantive auditing procedures, document findings, and ensure proper application of accounting principles to support the firm’s client success initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Procedures: Perform substantive auditing procedures in assigned areas to verify financial information and ensure compliance.
• Work Understanding: Obtain a clear understanding of the work to be performed and its specific purpose, contributing to effective audit execution.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive working papers that adequately document the tests performed and procedures followed, substantiating conclusions reached.
• Principle Application: Maintain vigilance regarding the proper and consistent application of accounting principles throughout all audit procedures.
• Deficiency Identification: Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters that warrant the attention of management for corrective action.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university with a major in accounting. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future, as CRI will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this position or future positions.
• Experience: Familiarity with core Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member; willingness to cooperate effectively with others; and a high degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
