This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s Audit and Assurance Group by directly contributing to client engagements, primarily for nonprofit organizations. Interns will gain invaluable hands-on experience, develop industry-specific knowledge, and build professional skills within a supportive environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Procedures: Perform audit procedures based on assessed risk for financial statement audits.
• Communication: Maintain ongoing communication and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status.
• Reporting: Accurately prepare a variety of reports for management’s review, using established firm policies and procedures.
• Teamwork & Independence: Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Client Travel: Occasionally travel to client sites as required for engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for candidates working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Internship to start after the candidate’s sophomore or junior year of school; candidates completing their master’s program will also be considered.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, highly organized with good time management skills, and the ability to travel to clients.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
